Week 12: 4-30-19

This week our goal is to finish the autonomous tetrahedron challenge. We've already started to code for this challenge last week so hopefully it won't take us lone to finish and we'll be able to start thinking about the racquetball challenge.

Week 11: 4-26-19

We successfully completed the tetrahedron challenge using tank control! Also... we altered the height of our robot to match the requirement and now our robot is exactly 18 inches!
We've also started to code for the autonomous tetrahedron challenge. We hope to complete that next week.

Week 11: 4-22-19

I know we've been saying it over and over again, but this week we WILL complete the tetrahedron challenge and we hope to start (and maybe even finish) the autonomous tetrahedron challenge. Along with the challenge we will continue to see if there's an easy way to get the velocity to change.

Week 10: 4-17-19

So... we didn't end up figuring out how to change the speed, but for future challenges we'll keep researching. This week we completed building our tetrahedron. There's no school Friday, but we've practiced enough with our robot that next week we should be good to go for an official run for the tetrahedron challenge.

Week 10: 4-15-19

This week we hope to find out how to change the velocity, but if we can't we'll continue to practice the challenge with the speed it's at. This week we also plan to build our own tetrahedron and complete the challenge.

Week 9: 4-11-19

Our robot is officially completely built for the challenge. This week we added the claw and got the coding for it working smoothly. We also started practicing for the official run. We successfully got two tetrahedrons on the top hook. However, our trials have been a little difficult because our robot is still really fast and it makes it a lot harder to control. We've tried several things to try and slow down our velocity, however, none of them have worked so our robot still looks like its come out of the Need For Speed movie. We've also completed the Solidworks model and it is up on the blog.

Week 9: 4-9-19

This week our goal is to finish adding the claw and finish the program for the claw. We hope to have tested the robot for the challenge multiple times this week and maybe even get close to our official for the tetrahedron challenge. Along with completing the challenge, we want to have the Soldworks completed and up on the blog ASAP.

Week 8: 4-5-19

This week we finished the new and improved chassis. We've successfully switched the rails and we've switched out the small tires to bigger tires. After we finished the chassis, we decided we should test out the tank control and to our surprise we found out we actually built a tank with the speed of a race car. Our robot is extremely fast and pretty heavy on the side with the battery, so next week when we add the claw we'll have to balance it out and fix the velocity.

Week 8: 4-1-19

Welcome back!! We are now back from Spring Break and are ready to tackle the next challenge. This week we will start to modify our robot (change the rails, tires, etc) because the original square-bot design will not work with our alterations of the wheels; we're going to switch to the larger wheels. Along with our physical model, we'll have to alter and add onto our Solidworks model.

Week 14: 5-24-19

This week we accomplished a lot. We officially completed the autonomous tetrahedron challenge and we started... AND completed the tank ...
